You don’t need to hear it from me to know that work is stressful – we all understand this. We cope with it by having things to look forward to outside of work. Whether it’s a sports game to go to, a nice dinner out, or a movie, we all look past our work at times in order to think of something that’s much more fun. Holding a social event will give the team something to look forward to and motivate them to work harder. Also, a fun break will give them a good chance to recharge their batteries. While we often think of time that’s not spent working as wasted time, the truth is that the longer we work, the harder it will be for any of us to give anything resembling a full 100 percent effort. With a timely social event, everyone will have more energy when going back to work.
